Corderro “Mac Derro” Currie jumped into the rap scene at the age of 16. Born June 1992 in Memphis, TN, Corderro grew up in Hernando, MS and calls Mississippi home. Influenced by Mississippi rap artists “Shattered World” “CrunkNBuck” and “Snubnoze”, he felt compelled to make his mark on the local Mississippi music scene and subsequently became a force in the music industry. Mac Derro describes his style as “energetic with a street swagger” plus a hint of “club edge”.
In 2009, Mac Derro teamed up with his brother Yung Traxx, and created 90’s Baby Ent. The brothers produce, record, mix and master their own music as well as produce their own videos and act as their own photographers for their brand and other local artists. 90’s Baby Ent. is a record label that aims to bring back 1990-1999 era rap music, with a goal to bring together all fans of Rap music from that era.
Mac Derro’s first single release on the label, “I Ain’t F*** Yo Girl Dog Yo Girl F***ed Me”, is a local club banger, first introduced at college fraternity parties. The video for this hit single has reached an extraordinary 20,000 views on Youtube without radio or blog promotion.
Mac Derro is set to go on a nationwide tour which is intended for the same “90’s kids” audience, who are fans of Rap/Hip Hop music. This tour will also debut his EDM Remix “Luv Ya Girl” that will be on an exclusive EDM mixtape which features Mac Derro and Tiësto.
